Mirage (humanized) Autobot spy by Valong Mirage (humanized) Autobot spy by Valong
I imagine him as a well-built, slender and tall man. Noble, classy and out of the formerly elite upper-class circle (what he actually is resp. used to be :XD:). A very interesting character and one of my favīs. :)

Paid commission for me by the awesome :iconsheer-madness: Stunning "transformation" from robot to human. Love his design !

Aww, really ?! Thatīs really nice to hear. :aww:

Well, regarding his eyes...I looked at different pictures from him (toys, comics etc.). Sometimes he had blue eyes, sometimes yellow eyes...To be honest, it was a rather difficult decision. *laughs* At the end, I decided that I like him more with yellow (amber eyes). ^^

That's an awesome Mirage right there. =D I really like his armor suit, and the shading is quite lovely.

Aww, thank you for your nice comment. ^^ Pity that I forgot to speak with the artist about his helmet. I would have loved to see it.

To be honest, I totally forgot about to speak with the artist about the helmet. Afterwards I missed him as well. It would have been interesting, definitely.

Spoiler on the wrist, interesting. I do like the shimmer/invisible shield. The sigal to his thigh is definately different (unless I'm just not used to all versions out there fro Mirage.)

Indeed. :) It was rather difficult to find the "right" Mirage design. There are a few different Mirages out there. I looked in the comics, at the toys, the G1 series etc. I definitely wanted to have his Autobot emblem on his armor...so I went looking for a picture where he wears it...and found one. [link] Not 100 % the same, but itīs ok. I think. ; )

Hi ! Long time no see. :)

First I didnīt know what you mean...but then, after I googled a bit, I found it. Well, I have to admit that I donīt know this series. Either it didnīt broadcast on German television, or I didnīt noticed it (that was a very "busy" time in my life ;)).

A long time indeed! I've not been super active since I moved last year. ^^;
The original BGC wasn't a TV series, but it was very popular in the English-speaking world (In fact, it might be one of the few 80's anime to have had a bigger Western fanbase than Japanese when it was pretty new). I have no idea how popular it was in Germany though! It's just the look of the powered suit, and the wheels, made me think of the designs; There's a version of their suits where they combine with bike-mecha, and they have the wheels in similar places. :)

Interesting. :) I just read that it came out as VHS cassettes and DVDs in Germany, it ran even in German television. But it must have bypassed me without leaving a trace. As Transformers at that time. lol Btw, itīs nice to see some Transformers art from you again. I would not mind to see more of it....;)

Sometimes we just miss these things. :) If you enjoy 80's rock music (especially the work of Jim Steinman!), I highly recommend it!

And thankyou! There will be more, but I did more drawing than my feeble body will support, and hurt my wrist before finishing the second piece I was working on... I hope to make more soon.

Itīs funny, but I had never heard from Jim Steinman before...till today. I searched for some songs of him - and I wondered why they sounded so familiar to me. Suddenly it crossed my mind...Meat Loaf !

Years ago I used to hear him a lot and I liked his music. But I wasnīt aware resp. I didnīt know that Jim Steinman was the songwriter. So, thanks for the info. ^^

Btw, I hope, youīre feeling better again (didnīt sound really good last week).

Yes! He wrote a lot of Meat Loaf's early songs, and several for Bonnie Tyler, and a few other 80's artists. He also scored and wrote the songs for Tanz Der Vampire, which you may know :)

And thankyou... I've been under a lot of stress for the past few months, but now one of the causes is over, and the other big one is clearing up. Now I just need to sell some things and make some money, and all is good. :D

Ah yes, I know "Tanz der Vampire"...but only as Film (The Fearless Vampire Killers) from (and with) Roman Polański. :D But I never saw the Musical.

Glad to hear ! ^^ Wish you good luck with that.
